Who: Joe Smith, Co-Owner

Fun Facts: After years of being a firefighter, Joe took interest in security. He started his company from scratch and lots of hard work and long hours, he retired from firefighting to continue to build Terrell Alarm Systems. Now, 21 years later, he is proud to announce that his long time general manager, Troy Bambico, and his son, Zane Smith, are co-owners, making them an employee owned company. They have outgrown numerous buildings over the years and have plans to relocate the home office into the Garden Event Center (also owned by Joe) soon.

Terrell Alarm Systems is much more than just alarms; they offer card access control, video/AV services, fiber, data room, cameras, TV’s, anything that involves low voltage wiring. Their typical workload that they manage includes 128 enterprise video servers, 1863 cameras and 186 switches managed thru the home office using diagnostic software and monitoring.

Terrell Alarm Systems installed all the sound and video equipment for the new Kaufman Civic Center including the Kaufman Chamber of Commerce, along with projects for local school districts, cities, banks and electrical providers. They also set up the video systems thru several local correctional facilities.

If you notice their logo, you will see the two crossed swords. When asked why, Joe stated that the crossed swords symbolizes what Terrell Alarm Systems stands for: strength and defense, and protection. They strive for a reputation of honesty and integrity, working hard to provide service and offering quick response to problems and issues.

Joe states that they have a huge need for technicians! Stop making the long drive to Dallas and fighting the traffic, come work for Terrell Alarm Systems!
